There is no single price for a minibus with a driver in Estonia. The quote depends on hours, distance, waiting time, vehicle class and the day you travel, so the useful question is not “what is the price?” but “what is in it?”. Below we explain how quotes are built, what we publish at Solidride, where our Mercedes-Benz V-Class fits, and which questions to ask any provider before you confirm.
If you searched in Estonian for juhiga minibuss hind, this is the same question: what a chauffeured minibus costs for a transfer, a day trip or an event.
TL;DR
- Chauffeured minibus prices in Estonia are built from hours or kilometers, plus waiting time, not from a flat per-seat fare.
- Our published city rate for the Mercedes-Benz V-Class is 45 € per hour. Intercity routes start at 170 € (Tallinn to Hiiumaa) and rise with distance.
- Always check whether a quote includes the 24% VAT, and what happens when your flight or event runs late.
- Larger groups (MB Sprinter, coach) are quoted individually: you send the date, route and headcount and get a fixed offer.

What “minibus with a driver” means in practice
In Estonia the phrase covers a wide range. At one end is a premium van for four to seven people, such as a Mercedes-Benz V-Class, used for airport pickups, business delegations and family trips. In the middle are Sprinter-type minibuses for bigger groups. At the far end are full coaches for weddings, conferences and tours.
What they share is the structure: you hire the vehicle, the driver, the fuel and the route as one package, and you do not drive or park anything yourself. That is the whole value. For a group arriving at Tallinn Airport, it means one vehicle, one meeting point and no splitting into taxis.
The type matters for price. A V-Class costs more per hour than an ordinary van but gives a quieter, more comfortable ride for guests you want to impress. A Sprinter costs more in total but far less per person once the group is large.
How providers build the price
Most quotes use some mix of the following.
Hourly rate. Common for city work: airport pickup plus a hotel run, a meeting day, a shopping trip, a wedding schedule. You pay for the hours the vehicle is booked, and the clock usually includes waiting.
Fixed route price. Common for intercity trips such as Tallinn to Tartu or Pärnu. You get one number for the trip, which is easier to budget.
Day rate with a kilometer allowance. Typical for tours and coaches: a set number of hours and kilometers, with extra charged beyond them.
Extras. Night and holiday surcharges, waiting after a delayed flight, extra stops, child seats, and the driver’s return leg if you only go one way.
Two quotes that look 30 € apart can be identical once you add what one left out. Compare them line by line.
Our published prices
We publish a price list on our pricing page. These are the amounts listed there for city transfers from Tallinn Airport, billed per hour:
| Vehicle | Price |
|---|---|
| Mercedes-Benz E-Class | 33 € per hour |
| Volvo S90 | 40 € per hour |
| Mercedes-Benz V-Class | 45 € per hour |
| Mercedes-Benz S-Class | 70 € per hour |
For a group, the V-Class is the relevant row. At 45 € per hour, a two-hour airport-to-hotel-and-back schedule is a different budget from a full eight-hour business day, which is why we ask for your timetable first.
Intercity routes from Tallinn are priced as one-off trips, with the “from” amounts as published:
| Route | Price |
|---|---|
| Tallinn – Hiiumaa | from 170 € |
| Tallinn – Pärnu | from 190 € |
| Tallinn – Saaremaa | from 210 € |
| Tallinn – Tartu | from 270 € |
| Tallinn – Narva | from 300 € |
| Tallinn – Luhamaa | from 400 € |
| Tallinn – Koidula | from 400 € |
“From” means the final amount depends on the details of your trip: number of stops, waiting time, timing and vehicle. We do not publish a price for the MB Sprinter or the coach, because those depend on group size, date and route. For these you request a personal quotation.
Worked examples
These use only our published rates, so you can see how the arithmetic works. Your own quote may differ.
Business delegation, one day in Tallinn. A V-Class booked for eight hours at 45 € per hour comes to 360 €, before any extras. Split between four colleagues, that is 90 € each for a vehicle that is always waiting outside the meeting room.
Family, Tallinn to Pärnu. A one-off trip from 190 €. For a family of five, that is well under the cost of five separate seats on public transport plus taxis at both ends, and nobody carries luggage across a bus station. Compare with your own alternatives before you decide: we are not claiming it is cheaper in every case.
Airport transfer, short. A one-hour city run in the V-Class is 45 €. Check the hour boundary: ask whether the clock starts at the scheduled landing or when you actually come through arrivals.
If you need wedding transport instead, the logic differs: it is a package with a fixed schedule. Our wedding car price guide explains how to write a quote request, and our listed wedding car with chauffeur starts from 150 €.

What changes the price most
Group size and vehicle class
The jump between a V-Class and a Sprinter is not linear. Once you are above the number of seats a premium van offers, you move into a larger vehicle class with a different cost base. Tell the provider your exact headcount and the amount of luggage. Luggage often decides the vehicle, not people.
Waiting time and delays
Flights run late. A fair provider monitors your flight and adjusts the pickup instead of charging you for a delay you did not cause. We track flights in real time for airport pickups. Whoever you book with, ask the question in writing: “If the flight lands two hours late, does the price change?”
Time of day and season
Night runs, public holidays and peak summer weekends (weddings, ferry traffic to the islands) are the times when vehicles are scarce. Book earlier for those dates, and expect surcharges at some providers.
One-way or return
On a long route, the driver often has to drive back empty. Some quotes build this in, others charge it as a separate line. If your trip is a return trip with the same driver waiting, say so up front: it usually reads better than two one-way fares.
VAT
Passenger carriage services provided fully in Estonia are taxed, and the standard VAT rate is 24% since 1 July 2025. Companies that reclaim VAT often quote net prices, while private-customer prices are usually gross. The difference is a quarter of the amount, so confirm which you are looking at before comparing two offers.
Perspective: why we price by the hour in town
We have seen the same mistake many times: a customer compares a cheap flat figure with our hourly rate and picks the flat figure, then discovers that it covers one stop and no waiting. In the city, your day rarely follows a straight line. The meeting runs long, the guest needs to collect something from the hotel, the flight is late. Hourly billing is honest about that: you pay for the time you actually use, and you control it.

On long routes we think the opposite: a fixed price is better, because the customer wants to know the number before getting in. That is why the island and city-to-city routes are one-off prices.
The cheapest quote is rarely the best one for a group. What counts is the driver who is at arrivals with your name, the car that is clean and warm in February, and the flight monitoring that means nobody calls you at 2 a.m. asking where you are. Our fleet is built around Mercedes-Benz for that reason, and our service runs 24/7.

What to check before you book
Price is only one line. Before you send a deposit, confirm these points in writing.
- The operator’s license. Carrying passengers for hire in Estonia is regulated by the Public Transport Act, and bus and coach operators need the appropriate authorization to run the service. Ask for the company’s registry code and its transport authorization.
- The driver’s qualification. Professional drivers of larger passenger vehicles need the right license category and periodic training, recorded as a certificate of competence or an entry on the driving license. A reputable company will answer this without hesitation.
- What is included. Driver, fuel, tolls, parking, waiting time, extra stops, child seats.
- The cancellation rule. Free until when, and what happens with flight changes.
- Payment and invoice. Card, bank transfer or invoice for a company, and whether VAT is shown separately.
- The vehicle you will actually get. Model, age, seats and luggage space, not just “minibus”.
- Special needs. Pets, wheelchairs, large instruments, ski bags. We offer a pet-friendly transfer service, but any provider should agree in advance.
Choosing between a premium van, a Sprinter and a coach
A rough guide by situation, not by exact seat count, since layouts differ by vehicle:
- A small team or family with luggage, and image matters: a V-Class. Comfortable, quiet, and easy to park at hotels.
- A larger group moving as one: a Sprinter-type minibus. Quote by the day or route.
- Conference shuttles, long tours, wedding guests: a coach, or two vehicles running a loop.
- A repeated shuttle across several hours: hourly hire usually beats single fares.
If you are bringing a team to the airport, our guide to a team airport pickup covers how to coordinate arrivals. For a conference or festival, see how to put together an event transportation plan. And if you are new to the idea of a pre-booked car, what a private transfer service is explains it in plain terms.
Ways to keep the cost down
- Send your whole schedule at once. One booking with three stops is cheaper and cleaner than three separate bookings.
- Be exact about times. A realistic end time avoids an overrun.
- Combine arrivals. If five colleagues land within an hour of each other, one vehicle can cover all of them.
- Book early for peak dates. Summer weekends and island routes fill first.
- Ask for a fixed price. For routes outside the city, a fixed total protects you from surprises.
Do not pick a smaller vehicle than your group needs to save a few euros. Bags on laps and a second car that must be added later cost more than the right vehicle at the start.

FAQ
How much does a minibus with a driver cost in Estonia?
It depends on the vehicle, the hours and the route. Our published rate for a Mercedes-Benz V-Class in the city is 45 € per hour, and intercity routes from Tallinn start at 170 € for Hiiumaa. Larger minibuses and coaches are quoted individually.
Is VAT included in the price?
Not necessarily. The standard Estonian VAT rate is 24%, and some providers quote net prices to companies and gross prices to private customers. Ask which one your offer shows before comparing.
Can I get a fixed price for a long trip?
Yes, for routes such as Tallinn to Tartu, Pärnu or the islands, we price the trip as a one-off amount, starting from the figures in the table above. The final number depends on stops, waiting and timing, and we confirm it before you book.
Do you offer vehicles for bigger groups?
Yes. Besides the V-Class we have an MB Sprinter and a coach available, and we handle group travel and event transport. There is no published price for these, so send us the date, route and headcount for a quotation.
What if my flight is delayed?
For airport pickups we monitor your flight in real time, so the driver adjusts to the actual landing time. Confirm in advance how waiting time is handled in your quote.
